Induction Programme for Newly Qualified Post-Primary Teachers
Professional Development Programme 2012/2013

The NIPT, in collaboration with Mayo Education Centre, will facilitate a workshop based programme for newly qualified teachers (NQT’s).  The workshop programme will consist of a series of 12 workshops and will be facilitated by practicing teachers who have received NIPT facilitator training.  

The workshops will be interactive and based on practical learning experiences. Opportunities will be afforded to NQT’s to build on the learning experiences at ITE level and to engage in professional dialogue with other NQT’s, based on current learning experiences and needs.  Five of the workshops will be delivered on a cross-sectoral basis to both primary and post-primary NQT’s and the remaining seven workshops will be delivered on a sector specific basis.
