PDST Region 6 -
Invitation to primary schools to utilise their one allocated Planning Day from the Department of Education & Skills, for the purpose of planning support in all three of the following areas: English, Gaeilge, Mathematics. Please note that these cluster planning days are for whole school staffs, excluding SNAs.

PDST Region 6 -
Needs Identification and Strategic Planning:
The clusters will develop a model of needs identification and strategic planning that will support individual schools. It is envisaged that schools will be enabled to identify where they are at and what needs to be put in place in relation to:
(a) strategic planning
(b) whole school planning
(c) subject department planning
(d) teaching and learning (including classroom methodologies).
Schools will be encouraged to use a facilitative process in their own schools to identify their current developmental needs, in relation to these and other areas. This will enable the PDST team to match school needs, where possible, with available support in specific areas. Schools are invited to send the Principal and/or Deputy Principal and the SDP Coordinator to a cluster meeting.
